3 * Golden Globes budget styles

The Golden Globes took place earlier this week, and amongst all sparkly ball gowns we could see a few slightly simpler dresses. These styles can easily be recreated in a more casual style. For us people who can't afford Armani or Christian Dior - here are 3 Golden Globes styles on a budget:
Flaired, black and blue stripy strapless top from Hollister Co - £7.44
Double split black maxi skirt from Miss Selfridge - £24
Silver clutch bag in envelope style from BCBG - £61
Silver statement necklace from Asos - £38

Mint green peplum dress with sequin details from Lipsy - £38
Turquiose drop silver earrings from Boticca - £39
Long mint green envelope bag from Target - £8
Turquoise odyssey ring from Stella & Dot - £37

Ankle Strap Sandal from Victoria's Secret - £34
Mango Polka Dot Peplum Dress from John Lewis - £30
Black leather clutch bag from Nelly - £31
Silver bangles from The Iconic - £26

Featured: knitted yellow snood

A new crush of mine is this knitted mustard yellow snood scarf that I bought when I visited Sweden over Christmas. I bought it at Indiska, which is a Swedish chain of shops that sell a unique mix of fashions and interior decorations inspired by India. It's a unique style of their products - a blend of Indian and Scandinavian design, with a modern bohemian twist, that radiates colours, patterns and energy.

This scarf in particular is not very Indian inspired, except maybe for the colour. But please, have a look at the rest of their collection, and I'm sure you'll fall in love too.

Anyway, I just wanted to show you this new find of mine, and also show you different ways of wearing it; as a double scarf (which is my favourite), as a mix between a scarf and a hood, or as a bolero. It's also a perfect match to my yellow Wallis earrings that I bought early last year.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you, my lovely readers!

Fashion Infatuation is more popular than ever, and I should hope so with all the time I’ve spent writing on this blog in the last year – I managed to write 100 posts in 2012! Not bad, not bad… That's an average of 2 posts per week.

Anyway, I thought I’d make this first post of 2013 about Christmas and New Year’s fashion, showing you what myself and my stylish colleagues wore to our Christmas party. Although – looking at the photos you’d think it was more of a New Year’s party with all the blingy dresses!

My glamorous team, including fashion blogger Martin from Martin Loves and TQS magazine to the left.

Another blogger colleague of mine is fellow Swede Kristina who runs the blog Mode of Style. We're really matching with our black, sparkly dresses. It's a shame the photo is black and white (stupid photographer!)

At our company Christmas party I was wearing this grecian style layered black dress in sheer material with a bit of sparkle under the bust.
The fellas looked handsome in their suits.

The love of my life and me. Love you hunny!
If I was to sum up my 2012 I would first of all say that it has been a very exciting year full of events.

I could babble on about this for ages, but let me save you from boredom by simply listing a few things in bullet points.

  • I bagged myself a new job (within the same company) and I now work with blogger engagement. Very creative, indeed!
  • I visited 3 countries I’ve never been to before – Mexico, France and Croatia. That’s 3 countries ticked off my list of places to visit before I die. Time to plan the holidays for 2013!
  • I’ve been to some amazing concerts – Shinedown, Nickelback and Alanis Morissette.
  • I adopted two tiny little girl cats.

What were your highlights of 2012? Anything you’re extra happy about?

Happy 2013 everyone, and let’s make this year even better than the last one! :D
