Review of Waterfall Spa in Leeds

Back in December I was treated to a lovely spa day by my dear friend Kristina, who blogs over at Mode of Style. The spa in particular was Waterfall Spa in central Leeds, in which we spent quite a few hours on a Saturday just before Christmas.
It’s a spa for girls only, and even though the facilities are quite small there were a lot of things to choose from.

We were welcomed with a glass of prosecco mixed with orange juice, and some fresh fruit on the side. After that we were showed around the facilities. I was very pleasantly surprised by everything – it was all really lovely and fresh.

We started off in the hydrotherapy pool, which consisted of three different areas for the ultimate relaxing experience. After that, we chilled out in one of the saunas, and then had lunch – a lovely healthy buffet consisting of different salads and cold cut meats.

After lunch, we decided to try the mud chamber, in which you smear mud all over your body and then sit in a steam room for about half an hour. We found it quite difficult to breath in there because of all the steam, but overall it was an interesting experience.
The spa also offers an experience shower, a normal steam room, and a well-equipped changing room full with different moisturisers and face masks. Kristina and I put a face mask on and moved over to the relax area, where we had a glass of wine.

Included in this spa day was a small treatment of our choice, and we both chose to have manicures. You could choose a massage for an extra fee, but we were both tempted to try the manicure. Myself especially, since I had never had one before. The nail polish they used was Essie, and I went for a classic French manicure.

I was very happy with my girly spa day, and would definitely go back again. Kristina and I felt extremely relaxed after about 5 hours of just chilling and pampering, and I would highly recommend this to anyone who fancies a treat in Leeds.
